It combines three signals: your taste, what's trending right now and, when they're around, your friends' gems. As soon as you open it, Kanap shows you a Top 3 and tells you, for each title, why it's suggesting it. The first time, it asks you a few questions about what you like: that's what makes your first Top 3 relevant.

Yes, Kanap is free.
Which streaming services does Kanap work with?
The ones you already have. In the United States: Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, Apple TV+, Max and the other services listed in the app. In France, the main French services too. You select your subscriptions, Kanap only suggests what's available on them and shows you where to watch each title.
Does Kanap stream movies and shows?
No. Kanap decides, your platform plays it. You pick here, you watch on the platform that has the title, with your own subscription. Kanap is not a video player and doesn't sell any content.
Does it work for two people?
Yes, that's Duo Mode. It blends your two profiles and serves one gem for both of you. The person next to you doesn't need Kanap: you create a guest profile for them in thirty seconds.
Does Kanap include live TV?
In France, yes: live TV sits in Kanap right next to streaming, with what's on tonight and the same way of deciding. Not in the United States. Kanap also runs on Android TV and Google TV, with the same account and Duo Mode on the remote.
Do I need friends on Kanap for it to work?
No. Your taste and what's trending are enough for your Top 3. When your friends join, your picks get richer with the gems they've spotted, the way we tell each other what we've watched lately.

Kanap is available on the App Store and Google Play in the United States and France, in English, French and Spanish.
What happens to my data?
Your taste and your ratings are used to compute your recommendations. You can delete your account and its data from the app at any time. The details are in the privacy policy.
