Community guidelines

Version 1.2 — 30 July 2026

Kanap is for talking about films and series with people whose opinion counts. These guidelines describe what keeps this place worth being in. They supplement the terms of use.

The spirit

A blunt opinion beats a lukewarm one. You can hate a film everyone loves, and say so. What has no place here is going after people instead of works.

What is not allowed

Video reviews

A video review is your face and your opinion. Three extra rules:

Spoilers

Not a ban — a courtesy: warn people when you reveal a twist, especially for a recent release. A review that ruins the film for whoever reads it misses its point.

Reporting

Every review, comment and video review has a Report option in the app. A report places the content in our moderation queue; we review it and remove it where necessary. You can also write to privacy@kanap.tv. Reporting simply because you disagree, however, will get you nowhere.

You can also block a user: the link between your two accounts is severed and you disappear from each other's feed.

What happens when rules are broken

Depending on severity and repetition: content removal, warning, feature restriction, suspension, then account deletion. Serious cases — content involving a minor, credible threats — lead to immediate deletion and, where appropriate, a report to the authorities.

If you believe a decision is unjustified, write to contact@kanap.tv: a human will review it.
