Creator licence

Version 1.2 — 30 July 2026

This document describes what you allow Kanap to do with your content and your public identity when you claim your curator profile. You accept it when creating your creator account, together with the Terms of Use. It supplements them: if there is any conflict on the points below, this document prevails.

What you allow us to do

You grant Kanap a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free and revocable licence, solely for operating the Kanap service, covering:

What we do not do

Before you claim

Your curator profile may have been pre-filled from your public posts: we analysed your videos to extract the films and series you mention in them. The analysed video file is never kept — only the mentioned title, the matching quote and the public link to your video are. Until the profile is claimed, it is neither public nor indexed: it can only be reached through the invitation link sent to you. By claiming your profile, you acknowledge that earlier collection and authorise it going forward.

A pre-filled profile that is never claimed is deleted automatically, thumbnails included.

Duration and revocation

The licence runs for as long as your creator account is active. You may revoke it at any time, without giving a reason, by writing to privacy@kanap.tv. We will then remove your content from any featured placement and delete the thumbnails kept on our servers. Revocation applies going forward: it does not affect shares already made by users before it takes effect.

You can also remove a specific recommendation at any time from the app, without revoking the whole licence.

What remains yours

You remain the sole owner of the rights in your videos, your name and your image. This licence grants Kanap no exclusivity and does not prevent you from granting the same rights to anyone else. You confirm that you hold the necessary rights in the content concerned.
